{April 18, 2008}   Musical Dilemma

Not that anyone actually reads this blog, but I’m going to keep writing anyway. I haven’t written for a while, I know, I know. I’ve been working on something which for the moment I’m not telling many people about.

Now, I have a question: what songs it okay to rock out to, to sing along to, or to dance to (even if that dancing happens to occur in a seat)?  I mean, okay, maybe it’s sad when you start to boogie down to Play that Funky Music, but why in God’s name should that stop me? I mean, yes, I’ve also been getting down to such tunes as Work, the Way I Are and Don’t Stop the Music , but I don’t see what’s wrong with Bon Jovi stuff or whatever; but yeah, let me know what songs are and aren’t appropriate (fine, cool) for:

1. Kareoke/singing along to

2. Dancing

3. Rock out to (as in jumping, screaming like a nut, bringing out that dusty air guitar)

This way, I can make a list and publish it on this very blog. Actually, there’s an idea. Give me ideas for a top ten list, I’ll post my own version of that list (with comments on each number on the list) and if you think something should or shouldn’t be on there, comment and give me your opinion.

Let me know and I can get the list(s) started.

 Seriously.

{April 7, 2008}   Okay, I’ve done it

I know you’re thinking “What the Hell is tGiR on about?”. Well, I’ve finally seen the Da Vinci Code. And I loved it. I really did. All the actors did well and it was quite enjoyable. I just hate it, however, when people insist on going around talking about it as if it’s real. It is not fact, it is fiction containing fact.

Of course, I looked up extra info on imdb.com (the goddess site). The trivia’s good. Christopher Eccleston was considered for Silas (for anyone who’s a fan of Dr Who who pretty much says “OHMYGODILOVETHENINTHDOCTOR!!!”, like it’s all one big word). Kate Beckinsale and Julie Delpy were

considered for Sophie (someone I know said that Kate Beckinsale is English and the character is French). And then there was the role of Robert. Bill Paxton, Ralph Fiennes, Hugh Jackman and George Clooney were all considered (yes, how many women would have gone nuts if Hugh Jackman did the role? Quite a few, I suspect). Plus, the follow-up, Angels & Demons will have Tom Hanks and Naomi Watts (I think the character’s called Vittoria).

I feel ick. I have a cold and my ears keep blocking. I feel like someone is holding my eyes open, the way they’re aching. I just want to shake this thing off.

{April 5, 2008}   Brilliant day

Today was a pleasant day. I went and ate prawns with seafood sauce. Plus I’ve got photos of turtles! Seriously, they swarm when they see you in the hope that you’ve got food, even though people aren’t actually meant to feed them (hmm). Wish my nose wasn’t constantly running, though. I swear, I’m at the stage where my nose hurts because I’ve used tissues so many times.
