The Girl in Red’s Weblog

{June 13, 2008}   It’s Funny

In regards to this blog, I find that I get more pingbacks than comments, in general. Which is weird, ‘cos I didn’t think this blog was particularly interesting. I mean, it’s more interesting than it originally was, sure, but interesting with out the “more…than”? I highly doubt that.

Now, the other night, I watched Spicks and Specks. It had Geoffrey Rush. Who, if he hadn’t proven it already, showed the nation what a bloody genius he was. That was good.

Now, I have a confession to make. I like plastic cheese. I’m not talking about the crap that comes from a can (ewwwwww), but the slices in those wrappers. Yeah, I like it. Normally, I’m not into that so-processed-it’s-unrecognisable sort of food, but I like the slices of plastic cheese. Is that a bad thing? I mean, to me, it tastes good. But I guess it puts a lot of people who aren’t kids off.

Oh, that reminds me of a story. One time, we went over to someone’s house (they had little kids). The little girl’s treat was this weird product where you put this cake mix and an egg in a mug and put it in the mircowave for 90 seconds and voila, you have this pink cake (‘cos she chose strawberry). I think it was called Magic Mug Cake. If that didn’t make things worse, I witnessed this: the little girl, eating it with the spoon, took some. When she did, the cake shrank like a sponge… and then came back up again. Seriously! It looked almost like she was eating some weird sponge. It was absolutely disturbing the way the thing reinflated.

Okay, enough talk of fake food now. I suspect some of you are either just as disturbed as I am or feeling nauseous.
