The Girl in Red’s Weblog

{June 18, 2008}   Something that makes me mad

Okay, this is a rant. Recently, a girl beat up someone else and posted a video of it on Youtube. They both appeared on A Current Affair. The beater-upperer said “Oh, she hurt my feelings, so I had a right to fight back”. THe other girl was small, timid and had Leukemia. Plus, it was obvious that she hadn’t because this was one smug, pathetic little bitch. But wait! They both got suspended! Yes, the girl who was beaten up and humiliated got suspended for fighting. Firstly, I’d love to bash the BULLY’S HEAD IN and give her a right old kicking (yes, my inner pacifist coming out). Secondly, when will schools punish fairly? They should partially make such judgements based on character. Is a timid, terminally-ill kid likely to insult someone like that? Probably not. If someone’s telling a story with body language which doesn’t say something like “scared”, more like “I’m a stupid smug bitch who’s now having my ugly face plastered on TV by being a stupid cow”, should you belive them? Probably not. Is someone who isn’t guilty likely to post such a video on Youtube? NO. School administrations, wake up! Punish fairly! Don’t let people like this stupid cow get away with it and punish people like the other poor kid. But unfortunately, there are a lot of stupid pigs (I’m including guys in this, too) who beat people up and put the video on the internet. It’s pathetic. To anyone who does it, YOU’RE PATHETIC. There should be a petition that a) gets Youtube to get rid of any videos that show someone beating someone else up for real and report the users to the police and b) get the education system reviewed. This shouldn’t be allowed. It’s not a good thing when schools care more about how a kid wears their uniform rather than fair punishment and actually running a school the way it should be run.

Another thing: Corey Delaney/Worthington. How stupid can you be to post an invite to a party on the internet? Then, after being a complete idiot, he let his mates clean up while he posed looking like he can’t decide whether to look like Eminem or Paris Hilton. And we rewarded this idiot! We rewarded him by giving him interview (where he received cash and all kinds of goodies). SO. NOT. COOL.

Okay, I had to get that stuff out. It’s the kind of stuff that makes me sad for Gen Y. Unfortunately, all of the group gets the bad name because of these idiots. I promise next time, I’ll have something more lighthearted.
