The Girl in Red’s Weblog

Woohoo!!!

Okay, I just discovered for all you Bones fans a few sneak peaks from the first ep of the fourth season!!!

http://www.buddytv.com/articles/bones/bones-stars-dishes-on-the-new-22329.aspx

Now, is it just me, or does it appear to be that the English actress in the first clip played Susie in Torchwood?

I’m assuming you’ve all seen the Doctor Who Christmas special teaser. If not, it should be on Youtube.

{August 30, 2008}   Misery is Me

Okay, before I get onto my rant, I’ve got two funeral movies which you should all watch:

1. Death at a Funeral

2. Eulogy

The former is British, the latter is American, but both are brilliant and laugh out loud funny in my opinion.

I’m still sick. If I put on an American accent, I sound like Miley Cyrus, strangely enough. It sucks, because of my lack of appetite, I lost two kilos. I had a frappe and a big bowl of linguini for lunch and I’m two kilos heavier. That sort of sucks. I take that back. Not “sort of sucks”, TOTALLY sucks. I mean, dude! Agh. Hopefully, I won’t be this heavy tomorrow. I’m desperately trying to lose this bloody weight. I got HEAVIER after going to the gym. Accordin to Dad, after a while when you’ve built enough muscle, you get lighter. I hope that’s the case. But right now, I’m sort of at the headbanging stage, if you know what I mean. I’m getting pretty desperate. If my self-esteem takes a dip, I’m worried I’ll do something stupid to lose weight (keep it from my family, obviously).

Like the song Just Dance by Lady Gaga featuring Akon. I only heard it this week, but you know. Also, a song called Spotlight by Jennifer Hudson is pretty good.

{August 28, 2008}   Blech

I’m sick. Virus plus low blood pressure. Dude, it totally sucks. Everytime I stand up, I get dizzy. I’ve spent most of the day sitting down. Small but permanent headache with me, I thought you guys needed another post.

Okay, for anyone who’s seen both the trailers for Twilight, check this out on youtube: Twilight Trailer Spoof. It is HILARIOUS, I promise. It’s funny, but only if you’ve seen both trailers. There’s supposedly going to be another trailer (not a teaser) which has a surprise date. Plus, they’re filming an extra scene. A flashback, apparently.

Yay! The Olympics are over and now I can get back to watching Bones. And City Homicide is back! Yippee! New character on Bones. A psychiatrist. I liked the last scene with him in it – “You wouldn’t even have coffee with me?”, the way he’s just grinning to himself and writing down notes.

I wish I had a book to read. I’ve read all the ones on my shelf a tonne of times. Actually, now that I think about it, I got out a book the other day, so I’ll try to read that. If anyone’s got any boredom busters for me (or any ideas for lists), I’d appreciate them right about now.

Ah, my head.

{August 23, 2008}   What we Should Do

What I should do (with the help of you guys) is create a list. So what I’m going to do is ask for suggestions for lists that could be entertaining (just leave your suggestions as comments) and then I will create said lists (trying to make them as big and entertaining as possible).

Right now, I’m making my own list of life lessons and truths. But it’s not any of that soppy crap. No, here are a few of mine:

-There is no such thing as maturity when it comes to bubbles

-Music can make life much more bearable

-Everyone who has eaten wafer biscuits has tried to separate the layers and

-Don’t do the jobs/subjects/activities your parents want you to do; you’re going to have to live with the decision a lot longer than they will

I’m just in a listing mood.

I’ve been on the Goddess site a lot lately and the boards are so DEAD!!!!! Honest to God, I’m starting to worry. It’s so weird. Never have the majority of boards I like to go on become more dead!!!

Music: the One by Kylie Minogue and Disturbia by Rihanna are the ones I’m listening to right now. Disturbia is the one which just has this kind of sexy feel to it. I can’t explain it, it’s just mesmerising.

{August 21, 2008}   My talent

Yes, I have a talent. I’m not referring to written rambling or singing or saying random things which make my friends laugh. No, my talent is keeping control. Because, I swear to God, if I lacked control, I would’ve screamed my head off in Maths today, possibly even committed homicide. It’s at this point you ask “Geez, Girly, what HAPPENED?”. Well, my Maths class has about half a dozen girls who talk so often that they don’t stop for air. The fact that my recent Maths results weren’t high probably didn’t help. I sit by myself so I can concentrate and work. But NO. I can NEVER concentrate because they’re too busy playing hide the textbook of the friend when she goes to wash her bleeding ear, or lifting the chair while someone’s sitting on it. Understand this, I have nothing against these girls outside of Maths. But in Maths, they’re nightmare-ish.

Okay, now I have vented. I recently bought, for my own entertainment and for $10, a platinum blonde wig with a fringe. I wear it a lot when I’m at home and need a pick-me-up (for some reason, it always works). My family thinks it’s strange though. They reckon that while it suits my colouring that it’s strange seeing me with platinum blonde hair. But then again, I’m known to wear random things on my head when I’m bored. Fedoras, sunhats (the big floppy ones), glittery bobbles that are attached to springs that are attached to a headband, devil horns. It’s at the stage where when I wear this stuff around the house, my family don’t look twice. Is it really that sad?

{August 19, 2008}   Oh, I nearly forgot

SBS is showing Top Gear out of order. So while I’ve seen the Tennant episode, I haven’t seen the Piper episode. Oh, and did you know that Eccleston was on just after Doctor Who (the first season of new Who) had finished showing in Britain?

Also, I found out on imdb that Naomi Watts is no longer Vittoria in Angels and Demons.

Argh, I want it to be the weekend.

{August 19, 2008}   I’m Pathetic

Yes, I am. It’s not ‘cos I’ve eaten whipped cream straight from the can. It’s not that I have fantasies about celebrities. It’s not that I’ve watched a soppy romcom several days in a row. No. I’m pathetic because I’ve got the Men in Tights song stuck in my head. For all those who have no idea of what I’m talking about, this is a song from Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Yes, I am aware that I am sad.

Anywho, moving on! Apparently the sequel to Bad Kitty (named Kitty Kitty) is coming out. I just want to read it already ‘cos I need something to read. I have literally read and re-read all my books.

Music! I already mentioned that I like the song Pirate Bones by Natasha Bedingfield (I’m almost tempted to just call her NBed in this blog ‘cos I’m lazy and am sick of continually having to type her full name). I also like:

-Forever by Chris Brown

-Violet Hill by Coldplay

-One Step at a Time by Jordin Sparks

-the Scientist by Coldplay

-Black and Gold by Sam Sparro

You know, just to name a few.

I must be one of the only ones, but I hate the Olympics. With a passion. They are so BORING. Plus there isn’t anything else on any other channels you can watch. BAH!!!!!! Sorry. Just venting. No Bones, no Heroes, no nothing. Well, there’s Doctor Who, but I never get a chance to watch it. Oh well. It won’t matter ’til Midnight.

I noticed that everyone’s noticed that I’m back and I appreciate it. Love you lots.

{August 18, 2008}   Edits on Last Post

Firstly, I’ve just found out that Australia’s release date of Twilight has been moved forward to December 11 (around the time the US were originally going to see it). Secondly, the convention is weekend of 16th/17rh January 2010 in Sydney.

{August 18, 2008}   Need more posts

To get people reading my blog again. That’s what happens when you get busy with other stuff.

Okay, let’s see. I saw the Forbidden Kingdom with Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Occasionally silly, but still a good movie. One fight scene had me smiling with satisfaction, but I won’t say, ‘cos I’m not about spoilers.

Twilight, for everyone in the US, is now coming out November 21st. Yay you. Us Aussies have to WAIT until January 9th. But I’m not bitter. No, of course not. Why would I be bitter that Australia’s release date is a lot later than all the others? Oh, and there’s going to be an OZ Twilight convention. It’s either late 2009 or early 2010. I’m sure you can find out more about it.

We’re in season 3 of Bones now (stupid Olympics got it paused). Plus seven has finally shown the other two eps of Heroes back to back, so I’ve seen them!!! Third “Volume” of Heroes starts September in US, which probably means October in OZ. Celebrate people.

Check out, if you haven’t seen it, Frank Woodley’s version of the Swim and Adam Hills theory on creating boy bands (both from Spicks and Specks and both can be found on Youtube).

Yeah, sorry I haven’t been on. Tonne of work. Plus my surprising social life (as in I’m surprised it exists).

Facebook is a funny old thing. You can come across people you haven’t spoken to in years. It’s so weird.

Been listening to lots of Natasha Bedingfield online. Like Pirate Bones, Pocketful of Sunshine and some others.

Anyway, dinner’s on the table. Catch you lot later.
